“The park has recently been revitalized by the West Jakarta City Parks and Forestry (Tamhut) Sub-agency. Its facilities and public spaces have been upgraded to better serve the community,” Iin said.
Iin encouraged residents to make full use of the park's facilities, including children's playgrounds and other supporting facilities.
“The playground facilities meet safety standards, allowing children to play comfortably,” she added.
She noted that beyond serving as a recreational space, the park can also function as a venue for environmental education and urban farming, while encouraging residents to care for and help maintain the trees and plants within the park.
West Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head Dirja Kusuma explained that Kosambi Park was previously a green belt area, with approximately 2.9 hectares of its total 4.2-hectare site revitalized under the 2025–2026 redevelopment program.
The revitalization included the construction and improvement of various facilities, including a children's playground, sports area, jogging track, and other facilities for public use.
“The park is expected to serve ecological, economic, social, and cultural functions, while also supporting disaster mitigation efforts,” he noted.
